Tecla Mapota is a Partner with the law firm Gwaunza & Mapota Legal Practitioners and has more than eighteen (18) years’ experience in the legal field. She started her career in the Attorney-General’s Office before she moved to the corporate sector and worked for an investment bank. Tecla then moved to private practice and joined a law firm before going into partnership as Gwaunza & Mapota Legal Practitioners. She specialises in corporate and financial services having obtained a Master’s Degree in Corporate & Financial Services Law from the National University of Singapore. Tecla was the chairman of the first GGF board, in which capacity she helped to guide the firm through its establishment and early growth phases, until her retirement from the chair by rotation in June 2018. She sits on various other boards.
